From the Right, the silence is deafening. While there is nothing comedic about it, the past few weeks have fell in step with otherwise perfect timing.

The revelation that the Supreme Court was (and still is) poised on the brink of undoing 50 years of increment social process in one fell swoop shows that sweeping reform is totally possible.

Then yet another mass shooting incident. Then yet another mass school shooting incident. The lack of action is felt far more profoundly given that something can clearly be done on a nationwide scale. If the forces at play wished to do such.

And the resounding takeaway is this- Yes, something could be done. Could have been done. Should be done.

I have nothing I can say to my kids, both actual and claimed. There’s nothing really else to say that hasn’t already been said. I feel the rhetoric has shifted ‘what’ can be done to ‘why hasn’t ‘ something be done. And it’s an ever increasing number of tragedy stacked on top of tragedy that it has taken this long, and all these senseless actual killings to get to this point.
